They're embedded admin iframes that round-trip to Shopify on every keystroke. Fast wifi can't save them.
The Shopify POS app for bulk shops that's actually fast. Voice search, multi-cart, offline-safe, on-device AI taring. Built for the till — not for an admin iframe.
Eight Shopify apps sell by weight. We read every public review on every listing. The same complaints repeat — across price tiers, across vendors, across years. These aren't edge cases. They're the category default.

Every weighing creates a new variant. Tax flags get wrong. Customers get overcharged.
Reported about Weyify
They spawn a real product variant per weight. Shopify's tax engine wasn't designed for that — and it shows on the receipt.
Wifi flickers. Screen freezes. Customer waits while we restart.

Zero offline mode. The network is the app. The till goes down with it.
We download your full catalog once. Index it on-device. Then run every search, every price, every tax calc, every draft-order write locally. Wifi becomes a background concern, never the bottleneck. The structural reason we'll be faster than every competitor: they are the network. We aren't.
We matched the table-stakes feature set of the category leader. Then we built the things every operator has been asking for and no competitor has shipped.
Three customers at the till — three carts on screen. Swipe between them. Every weighing keeps its place. No juggling.
Nobody else has thisSay it. "Carottes deux cents grammes." Catalog returns instantly. Hands stay on the produce, the bag, the scoop.
FR + EN at launchCustomer brings their jar. Snap it. On-device vision recognizes the container shape. Tare loaded in 500ms. Confirm with one tap.

No native app neededWe use Shopify Draft Order custom line items — the canonical tax-safe pattern. No phantom variants, no surprise overcharges, no broken receipts.
We've seen what happens otherwiseBig targets. High contrast. Configurable font size. Designed for a fixed 10–13″ tablet on the counter, not a desktop browser tab.
WCAG 2.1 AATablet boots, app is ready. No spinners. No "Loading Shopify Admin…" between customers. The performance budget is in our CI.
Tested every commitDrafts persist locally. Pricing keeps working. Tax calc keeps working. The customer never notices. When the wifi comes back, the queue flushes to Shopify automatically — every order, every line item, in the right place, with the right tax.
No competitor can do this. They are the network.

Comparison built from public Shopify App Store listings and reviews as of April 2026. We update it as competitors ship.
Customer brings a jar, a bag, a bottle. Camera sees it. The on-device vision model recognizes the shape and loads the matching tare in under 500ms. Confirm with one tap, or override.
"Almonds, six hundred grams." Local fuzzy + semantic search returns matches in 30ms. Or scan a barcode. Or just type. The catalog never goes to the network.
Customer pours to weight. Final tap creates a Shopify draft order with a custom line item — tax-correct, inventory drawn down, receipt printed. Three customers? Swipe to the next cart.
Every plan ships with every AI feature. We don't paywall the moat. Pricing is in USD; we bill through Shopify, so it converts to your store currency on your invoice.

Yes. We use Shopify Draft Order custom line items with explicit pricing — the canonical Shopify pattern. Tax flags inherit from the parent product, exactly as Shopify designed it.
This is precisely the thing Weyify gets wrong: they create a brand-new product variant for each weight, and Shopify's tax engine wasn't built to handle that. We don't do that. We never will.
Yes — over WebHID, the same browser API a serious POS app should be using in 2026. We support USB HID, Bluetooth, and DYMO. Manual entry remains as a fallback.
Filljoy explicitly says it doesn't work with DYMO. We took that as a marketing brief.
Yes. Your products, prices, taxes, and inventory live in Shopify, not in your current sell-by-weight app. We connect, read your catalog over the Admin GraphQL API, build the local index, and you're ready at the till. Your tare presets we'll re-create together during onboarding (5–10 minutes).
French and English at launch — both with localized number, unit, and product-name handling (so "deux cents grammes" and "two hundred grams" both work). Spanish is on the post-launch roadmap.
Voice runs through the Web Speech API on Chrome / Edge / Safari. Off by default; opt in per device.
Nothing visible. The catalog is local. Drafts are local. Tax calc is local. Receipts print. Inventory continues to draw down in the local store.
Behind the scenes, the sync queue holds your finalized orders. When the wifi returns, the queue flushes to Shopify in the background — every order in the right place, with the right tax.
The vision model runs entirely on the tablet — about 50MB, downloaded once at install. Customer photos are processed locally and discarded immediately. They never leave the device.
Container fingerprints (for regulars who bring the same jar weekly) are stored in your local IndexedDB, encrypted at rest. Optional, opt-in per customer.
An iPad or Android tablet (10–13″) on the counter, a scale, and your existing Shopify POS hardware (cash drawer, receipt printer, card terminal). That's it. No new register, no proprietary scale, no separate computer.
